Credential Evaluation for FE Exam
Does my previous education qualify me to take FE exam?
Credential evaluation is particularly required for those candidates whose previous education is not from ABET accredited universities. The charges for the credential evaluation is \$350 and the charges for re-evaluation are \$100.
Based on the transcipts evaluated in this process, the NCEES board may find deficiency in your previous coursework and can recommend a list of courses to be taken in engineering, general science, social science and/or business and management categories. A candidate can enroll in nearby engineering university or communicaty college to take such course. If online platforms are preferred, then the candidate can check whether CLEP- College Level Examaniation Program(R) offers these courses.
A candidate cannot appear for the exam till these deficiencies are removed. Further, if a candidate fails FE exam multiple times, the NCEES may ask to re-evaluate the credentials.
